In order to mitigate and prevent legal risks and other potential damages, Vonovia and its works council introduced a group-wide code of conduct in 2010. This code of conduct is part of a works council agreement, such agreement being legally binding for all employees of the Company as well as for the members of the management board. It sets out rules as regards personal conduct, prevention of corruption, conflicts of interest, security of data and other information, discrimination, protection of the environment and of the Company’s assets.
The Company also introduced a legally binding code of conduct for its relevant business partners.
In addition, Vonovia appointed Mr. Armin Meyer as ombudsman. Mr. Meyer’s contact details are:
Phone: +49 (0)172 3148540
Mr. Meyer serves as contact person and consultant in case an employee may want to report a personal behavior which may not be in line with the code of conduct on a confidential basis and disregarding the ordinary Company internal reporting rules. In cases in which the code of conduct could potentially be violated, Mr. Meyer –upon request of the employee also without disclosing his/her identity- shall pass on the matter to the Company’s compliance officer.
Mr. Meyer further serves as contact person vis-a-vis the Company’s business partners in case of any questions regarding the code of conduct. He may pass on any matters –upon request on a no-names-basis – to the Company’s compliance officer.
